Our Approach
The Need for Lions Quest
The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) recently published the results of a survey by top employers outlining the skills desired in new college graduates. Likewise, the World Economic Forum identified the top skills needed for the jobs of the future. The most necessary and desired skills are not related to any STEM field or technical proficiency. Instead, they are competencies directly related to the social and emotional skills promoted by Lions Quest:
- Problem-solving and decision-making
- Critical thinking and creativity
- Ability to work as a part of team
- Communications skills
- Leadership and the ability to effectively motivate others
- Strong work ethic and perseverance
Lions Quest Methodology
As highlighted in the following reports and articles, methodologies such as those integrated in the Lions Quest curricula, have been proven effective across the globe.

The roadmap of Lions Quest program:
For more than 25 years, Lions have embraced the idea of helping children grow in a positive direction. Lions Quest PreK-8 programs use a social and emotional learning (SEL) curriculum to teach character education, drug and bullying prevention, and service-learning through comprehensive lesson plans that educators use in the classroom. Our programs work. They help young people become better students, better decision makers, and better citizens.
The success of Lions Quest relies on the Lions who champion the program in their own communities. The resources found on this page are intended to provide you with the tools necessary to confidently engage a broad range of stakeholders, from fellow Lions to educators, administrators, and community and government officials.
Below are resources to help Lions learn more about the program so they can confidently engage other Lions and stakeholders to support the program.

Parent Meetings
Positive involvement of parents is one of the keys to successful implementation of Lions Quest. Parents are invited for regular parent meetings to discuss various elements of positive parenting. They discuss ways in which they can reinforce the skills learnt by their children in school. These interactions help form stronger family relationships.
Evaluation
Students fill the evaluation forms before taking up the classes and also after completion of the sessions. This evaluation shows the impact of program.
